Uranus has been in Taurus for most of the last seven years. This has brought many interesting developments to humanity. At the physical level, there has been an increase in ‘living walls’ and ‘vertical forests’ as plants are more frequently grown on the outsides of buildings. Hydroponics is another ancient technique that is finding favour again.
At the mental level, there has been an explosion in digital technology that has affected many parts of life. It has reduced the need for some forms of physical labour by revolutionising machinery. Digital technology has noticeably augmented medical diagnostics. Artificial intelligence has changed many office jobs and is now a key facet of online learning. Instant worldwide communication is part of everyday life.
These radical changes have often eased life as we know it. However, Uranus in Taurus has also revolutionised financial dealings. Electronic transmission of money is part of daily life. Over the last seven years, there have been changes in the world economy and these have been more marked over the last few weeks. The whole approach to money and the currency of energy is changing.
This is part of the ongoing shift in consciousness. For centuries, the emphasis has been on material wealth and physical comfort. Now humanity is seeking a much deeper understanding of life and truth. There is a growing awareness of the nature spirits and angels. Interest in the spiritual dimension and the unity of all life is increasing.
In some ways, this is the essence of Uranus in Taurus: the truth about life on Earth.
In these last few days while Uranus is still in Taurus, there can be a stronger desire to access the harmony and truth of this placement. There may also be greater interest in seeking the truth of spirituality. This is linked to the interaction between Uranus and Mars in Pisces until 9th April.
Once Mars moves into Aries, there could be a strong drive for action that might be accompanied by sudden breakthroughs. It might seem like a tumultuous or turbulent time but there is the potential for old ways that no longer serve humanity to be swept away. This could bring clarity as well as clear the way forward for new and exciting developments.
Mars is close to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction during the second week in April. This brings an interesting mix of energies. Mars, the fiery planet of courage and action interacts with Neptune, the planet that knows no boundaries. Anything is possible. However, Saturn, the planet of limitation and restriction may not so much curtail as guide the wise use of all this energy.
Mercury is in Pisces until 15th April suggesting mindful empathy for others as well as a thoughtful imagination. After Mercury moves into Aries, not only could thoughts flow rapidly but communication might be more spontaneous and direct. With so much happening at present, there is a need for quick thinking, being able to make decisions on the spur of the moment and communicate them clearly to others.
During April, there is a strong emphasis on Aries. Not only are the Sun and new Moon in this sign on 17th Aries but so too are Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Chiron. The soul lesson of Aries, love in action, is the dominant energy. It can be a time of pushing ahead with new and dynamic plans with courage but also carefulness and watchfulness.
With six planets and the centaur Chiron in the fire sign of Aries, it is worth looking at how this energy is being balanced by the positions of the other planets. Venus and Uranus are in the earth element of Taurus, Jupiter is in the water sign of Cancer and Pluto is in the air sign of Aquarius. The positions of these four planets help to bring stability as well as sensitivity to the many new innovations and enterprises that could be started at this time.
Much of this energy could be used in ways of service during the third week of April. This links with aspects from Mars and Saturn in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius to the south node of the Moon in Virgo. While this might be service in the conventional sense of the word, doing something for other people, it could also relate to the service of kindness and compassion to others in society.
Humanity is moving towards greater consideration of others and other realms of life on Earth.
