The full Moon on 29th June is in Capricorn opposite the Sun in Cancer. While the Sun shines light on the feelings and emotions, the Moon in Capricorn can moderate sensitivity to personal and world events. Emotional energy may then be directed into ways of service. The feeling of doing something to help can bring both inner and outer peace reflecting the soul lesson of the Sun in Cancer: peace in action.
Sensitivity and intuition may be a topic of conversation on 29th June as it is the last day of Jupiter’s year-long passage through Cancer and Jupiter is close to Mercury. The next day, Jupiter moves into the sign of Leo and Mercury starts its three-week-long retrograde phase. Both changes are worth examining.
Mercury can spend as little as fourteen days in a sign. This was the case when it passed through Taurus in early May. However, when Mercury goes retrograde, this time can be considerably extended. Mercury has been in Cancer since the beginning of June and, including the three-week-long retrograde phase, will be there until the second week in August, a total of ten weeks. This gives a prolonged opportunity to think and talk about peace in action.
While Mercury is retrograde in Cancer, there is the opportunity to think about emotions and emotional responses. Listening to other people can contribute to understanding how they are feeling. Thoughts may arise from the subconscious and lead to new ways of reacting to the diverse conditions in life. There is also the potential for new channels to open up in peace talks.
Jupiter will be in Leo for about a year. Love, the essence of life, is emphasised. This may manifest in many different ways. Self-expression, expressing the spirit that is in each person, may find outlet through warm-heartedness, encouraging others or creative avenues. While there can be pride in genuine achievement, it might be beneficial to avoid arrogance or feelings of superiority.
The confidence associated with Jupiter in Leo may be used to address issues of security linked with Chiron in Taurus. This may not be easy but taking time to examine those issues with the wisdom inherent in each person, could bring a deeper understanding of an inner sense of security. This is linked with the expansion of consciousness and recognising the physical world is part of the oneness of all life.
Energy may be directed, sometimes unexpectedly, into a variety of different activities bringing a broad spectrum of experiences. While this can add interest and delight in life, deeper truths about the nature of life may also become apparent. Such expanded awareness is linked with Mars, Jupiter, Chiron, Uranus and the nodes of the Moon all being in the first degrees of their respective signs.
Until 9th July, seven planets are in fire or air signs. Saturn and Neptune are in Aries while Venus and Jupiter are in Leo: both fire signs. Mars and Uranus are in Gemini while Pluto is in Aquarius: both air signs. The Earth has not experienced these planets in these signs all at the same time for at least 32,000 years. It is a new experience for all living today.
This is part of the evolution of humanity. Each person alive today has a significant and vital role to play, no matter how small or big that role may seem to be. Whereas in ages past the focus had been on physical life and emotional well-being it is gradually turning towards aspirations, love and the brotherhood of all life. Each individual is an essential part of the whole of life.
Over the next few weeks, being an individual within the collective is highlighted as Jupiter in Leo is opposite retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. Both signs can be very determined but there is also abundant opportunity to bring about a profound transformation. Outworn ways in society may be broken down to be replaced by something that is more aligned to love: part of the soul lesson of both of these signs.
On 6th July, Neptune begins its yearly retrograde phase, which will last about five months. Old illusions may be replace by new ways of perceiving reality. Seeking the truth within may help evaluate how realistic it is to pursue some ideals.
On 9th July, Venus moves into the earth sign of Virgo highlighting the value of being grounded and incorporating new ideas and ideals into ways of service.
Keep well, stay happy.
