Astrological Update from 27th July – 9th August 2026
The last few days of July are a time of immense potential. Enthusiasm and optimism combine with zest for life, which can lead to increased confidence. The most can be made of such an upbeat energy by avoiding overconfidence or self-importance. All this relates to the Sun being close to Jupiter in Leo emphasising the soul lesson of love.
The abundance of energy can be used not only for self and personal wellbeing but also for the good of others. While this includes people in the local community it also includes nations worldwide and can be extend to all realms of life. This links with the opposition between the Sun-Jupiter conjunction and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius.
This is highlighted on 29th July when the full Moon in Aquarius is close to retrograde Pluto. Both are opposite the Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Leo. It intensifies the pull between awareness of self and the welfare of others. A positive outlet for this energy may be in undertakings that support both self and other parts of creation.
Currently, new concepts for the way forward for humanity are forming in the collective subconscious. It may be a while before these perceptions come into conscious awareness and can be put into practice but when they emerge it could seem as if the world is based on totally different ideals.
These changes are associated with interactions between the Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Leo, Uranus in Gemini, retrograde Neptune in Aries and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. This highlights not only the way life is changing but also advances in the expectations of society. What was once accepted is no longer. The new paradigm that is unfolding may have an effect long into the future.
The south node of the Moon has just moved into Leo opposite the north node of the Moon now in Aquarius. The nodes will remain in these signs for the next eighteen months. Leo relates to love from the heart that is warm and generous but sometimes self-centred. Aquarius is linked with love for the group and sometimes considers the group more than the individuals that are part of it.
Over the next year and a half, humanity is learning to integrate the love for individuality and self-expression of Leo into interactions with other people and parts of life. This involves recognising that all groups are made up of the unique talents of each of the members. Working for humanitarian organisations or volunteering can use individual talents for the good of the whole.
Chiron at the beginning of Taurus interacts harmoniously with both nodes of the Moon. Being steady and reliable may help with using personal abilities within a group and recognising that it is possible to be a unique individual within that group. Doing something practical to help others may also increase the sense of security.
Taurus, Leo and Aquarius are all ‘fixed’ signs so they can be very determined. Love is part of the soul learning of each of these signs. When these qualities are applied together, there could be a tremendous outpouring of love into the world. It could bring about a change in human consciousness that has not been seen in living human memory.
Until 5th August, the Sun in Leo interacts harmoniously with retrograde Neptune in Aries. There is so much potential for the creative expression of spirit. Insights and imagination may find outlet in many different ways. Some of these ways may involve artistic activities. Others may involve pursuing an interest in the wider perspective of life including spirituality.
There is a tense interaction between Venus and Mars for the whole period covered by this update. Simply put, there could be variance between a love of harmony and peace and the courageous desire for action. Initially, as Venus is in Virgo and Mars is in Gemini effort may be needed to put different ideas into ways of service. After Venus moves into Libra on 6th August, more energy may be directed into establishing harmony.
From 29th July, the Sun in Leo forms a harmonious link with Saturn in Aries. This can bring a sense of calm and steadiness even when so much is happening in the world. Being patient and methodical may help new enterprises take shape. There may be a sense responsibility to play our individual role in life as well as we can.
Keep well, stay happy.
