There is a new Moon in Gemini in the early hours of 15th June. Communication and connections are highlighted. There could be lots of different topics to focus on. This can be exciting and stimulating but it might also be demanding to keep up with the plethora of ideas. As Uranus is also in Gemini, original concepts and inventive flashes of inspiration may be included in the diverse range of subjects.

At this time, Mercury and Jupiter, planets often linked with the mind, are in the sensitive and intuitive sign of Cancer. Thinking about the emotions may be enhanced as could feeling the thoughts. This can expand awareness of the role thoughts play in everyday life and contribute to compassion for other people and parts of life. It is part of becoming more conscious of our presence in life.

Uranus is currently halfway between Neptune in Aries and Venus in Leo. While it might seem as if new ideas are emerging from the imagination, this may be due to increased sensitivity enabling people to be receptive to the finer vibrations of life. This may find manifestation through creative activities in many areas.

At a deeper level, there may be greater recognition of the profound love that goes beyond human perceptions of love. Love can be so simple and shown in so many different ways ranging from a simple smile or an offer of help through to an inner feeling of love for the divine.

Love is not just for giving to other people. Self-care, nurturing and considering personal needs are just as important. Each person is an individual within the collective; each is a vital part of the whole of life on Earth. Balancing and integrating love for self with giving love to others can be linked with the opposition between Venus in Leo and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius that lasts until 24th June.

As the heavenly bodies move around the zodiac, they temporarily move from one sign to the next, go back into the original sign and then finally move into the next sign for a more prolonged period of time. This is a bit like dipping one’s toe into the water before getting into a bath. Chiron moves into Taurus on 19th June, returns to Aries in September then moves into Taurus for six years from April 2027.

While Chiron has been in Aries, much has been learned about individuality, self-esteem and courage. When Chiron is in Taurus, the focus will shift to the value of materialism. We all live in a physical world and need material things that contribute to our safety, comfort and enjoyment of life. Owning material possessions is often equated with self-worth and security.

Over the next three months and again from 2027, there are opportunities to consider what we value, our resources and what helps us to feel secure. Our primary resource is our physical body, the temple of our soul and worth looking after. The value placed on material resources may change with increasing awareness of sustainability. The sense of security may shift to an inner awareness and trust in the process of life.

At the summer solstice on 21st June, the Sun is in Cancer shining light on the soul lesson of peace in action. This is an opportunity to think about both inner and outer peace, particularly as Mercury and Jupiter are still in this sign,

Also on 21st June, the only interaction involving Saturn in Aries is to Venus in Leo. The need to be the first in everything, admired and respected, is held in check. Although this may sound a little inhibiting, it enables the warm and generous energy of these two fire signs to be used carefully, patiently and respectfully.

On 23rd June, Mars in Taurus interacts harmoniously with the Mercury-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer. This focusses attention on giving practical, down-to-earth service to others, beautifully counterbalancing the recent as well as the forthcoming emphasis on mental activities.

On 28th June, Mars moves into Gemini and is close to Uranus. Much energy could be focussed on innovative ideas and means of communication. The mind could be very busy. It is worth considering the two pillars of the symbol of Gemini. While one pillar represents the outer mind so busy with daily affairs, the second pillar signifies the intuition. Wisdom comes as the lower and higher minds are balanced.

Keep well, stay happy.
