Astrology Update on 2nd November 2026

There is a strong emphasis on the sign of Leo over the next two weeks, not just for those who were born with the Sun in Leo, but all people. This arises from Mars, Jupiter and the south node of the Moon all being in this sign. It is highlighted on 2nd November when the Moon is also in Leo. So what does this mean and how could it play out?

Mars is the planet of energy, desire and action. The position of Mars in a horoscope indicates where we direct our energy. As Mars is sometimes called the fiery planet it resonates well with the fire sign of Leo. With Mars currently in Leo, much energy may be directed towards making an impact or commanding the spotlight. So much depends on the nature of the impact and where that spotlight is shone.

This energy could be used to get recognition at an outer level but there is a more profound yearning. This is recognising and acknowledging the eternal love of spirit; the love by spirit for the soul and personality, just as they are. It also includes recognition of the love that shines through every human heart.

Jupiter is the planet of opportunities. It is also linked with wisdom, the wisdom to do the right thing. As Jupiter expands all that it touches, it can expand the qualities of Leo and may, at times, include enhanced self-centredness or pride. However, Jupiter could also expand understanding the true nature of love, which is the soul lesson of Leo.

When the energy of these two planets in Leo is combined, as they are over the next two weeks, a huge amount of love may be directed into the world. It is a time when the creative life force of love could be expressed whole-heartedly for the benefit of others.

The new Moon in Scorpio is on 9th November. With both the Sun and the Moon in this sign, much light is shone on examining life more deeply, looking below the outer events to understand what is really happening. It may become possible to appreciate the motive behind what is happening; a higher purpose working out through everyday events.

There is also an opportunity to consider interactions with other people more deeply, looking at the true value of relationships be they personal or business ones. This can include looking at our own position within each interaction and considering the balance of personal values and those of other people. There can be give and take as well as sharing and compromise.

This is one possible manifestation of the interaction between retrograde Venus in Libra and Jupiter in Leo. As both of these planets can also be associated with money, it may be a time of considering finances, the balance between income and outgoings and how much we value what we choose to spend our money on.

Venus and Jupiter are both traditionally considered to be ‘benefics’ as they can have a beneficial influence but it is also worth looking at the deeper significance of these planets. Venus is the planet of harmony, beauty and unity. Jupiter is the planet of philosophy and aspiration. When these energies interact, there can be aspiration to the highest form of love, that of spirit: a possible objective during the coming weeks.

Much thought might be given to these topics in the next few days, particularly until 12th November while Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio and Venus retrograde in Libra. Looking at the deeper significance of events in life might reveal appreciation of how much could be learned not only about life but also about ourselves and how we are an essential part of the whole of humanity and life on Earth.

Both Mercury and Venus station on 13th November to go direct two days later. The period of review and reassessment draws to a close. New ideas and values that have emerged over the last few weeks may now be put into action. Any changes or modifications to life style or routines are likely to be the result of deep evaluation and aligning the outer life to deeply held core values.

The Sun moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius on 22nd November bringing optimism, a sense of adventure and a love of honesty. At this time the Sun is opposite retrograde Uranus in Gemini highlighting the need for truth throughout life.

Keep well, stay happy.

Seeking the Soul: Through Meditations on Draconic Astrology

Seeking the Soul: Through Meditations on Draconic Astrology

Patricia Godden

This book is about seeking to find out more about the soul through the means of meditation. The introduction describes what is meant by the words ‘soul’, ‘spirit’ and ‘spirituality’ and how meditation has been used for millennia to find out more about these deeper facets of the human being.

Astrology, particularly one branch of astrology called ‘draconic astrology’ is another tool that can be used to explore the soul. The author meditated on the draconic level of the planets and signs of the zodiac to find out more about the soul, its relationship to spirit and their interactions with the outer, physical level of life.
