Astrological Update from 7th September – 20th September, 2026
For a few hours on 7th September, the need to find balance between the emotions and rational detachment could lead to feelings of uncertainty. Peace and harmony may be found through feeling the emotions and understanding how to manage them. This can lead to feeling more confident and secure and could contribute to helping other people understand their feelings.
In addition, there may be some reassessment of values and what is valued. It may seem as if change is happening personally but it is global too. Human consciousness is transforming from being materially orientated to including a much broader perspective of life. This can be linked with interactions between the Moon in Cancer, Venus in Libra, retrograde Pluto in Aquarius and retrograde Chiron in Taurus.
From 7th – 9th September, the Moon and its south node together with Jupiter are all in Leo. While this might lead to wanting to be the centre of attention or appreciated, at a deeper level it highlights the soul learning about love. This is the love that is in every human heart, the love of spirit, and how that love can permeate one’s whole being and radiate out through all of life.
Uranus stations on 10th September and begins its annual five-month retrograde phase two days later. While this can be a time to go over ideas from the last four months, there is also the possibility of totally new and unconventional concepts surfacing from the subconscious. With all the planets from Saturn outwards now retrograde, it is a time to look again at all the changes that are going on.
From 8th – 18th September, Mercury, in Virgo until 10th September then in Libra, is opposite retrograde Neptune in Aries. Neptune is linked with transcending boundaries. In Aries, there could be pioneering ways to transcend known limits or the emergence of previously unimagined new initiatives. The positions of Mercury over this time suggests the usefulness of all possibilities will be carefully considered.
On 10th September, helping others may come about through analysing a situation, seeing where there is room for improvement and then doing something practical to bring about a change. Constructive ideas offered without criticism can be beneficial. This relates to the Sun, Moon and Mercury all being in Virgo.
Also on 10th September, Venus moves from Libra into Scorpio. With Mercury already in Libra, there can be a love of going into things more deeply while maintaining a sense of fairness and balance. It is a time for looking at the deeper facets of life in an objective and impartial way. Understanding the many factors involved could be elucidating.
The new Moon in Virgo is on 11th September. Checking the details of what is happening, organising routine schedules or participating in activities that require dexterity may be easier. This position of the new Moon complements the energy of Jupiter in Leo. Confidence does not become excessive and humility can be genuine.
For much of September, the Sun interacts with Mars, which is in Cancer. Light is being shone on the desire for peace. This may be helped at the end of the second week in September by a greater understanding of feelings and acceptance of unusual or unconventional ideas. This is linked with interactions from Mercury to Mars and Jupiter to retrograde Uranus.
In the middle of September, links between several heavenly bodies suggests a deeper understanding of the changes that are happening at both the individual and worldwide levels. In the second half of the month, carefully considered words may go a long way towards achieving the desired goals. This relates to the opposition from Mercury in Libra to retrograde Saturn in Aries.
On 18th September, retrograde Chiron moves from Taurus back into Aries where it will stay until April 2027. The coming months could be a time of looking at issues of self-worth and true self-love that had not been resolved in recent years. This may include recognising special and unique qualities. Chiron will not return to Aries until 2066.
The ongoing and harmonious link between retrograde Saturn in Aries and Jupiter in Leo suggests innovative aspirations, some of which could be grandiose. The way forward is open with so much potential. Initial steps towards previously unimaginable projects may be tentative but, when carefully thought through, could help humanity progress on its path. As each individual changes, so too does the world.
Keep well, stay happy.
